This website is a unique and powerful collection of online educational resources and activities constructed and maintained by Diane Yeager, R.N. Diane Yeager – nurse, teacher, Webmaster
After working professionally as a nurse in labor & delivery and intensive care for seven years, opportunity came knocking on Diane’s door. A patient that Diane was laboring told her of an opening at the nursing school where she was an instructor. When the following school year started, Diane was the new full time nursing instructor. From that time in 1992, for the next fifteen years, Diane continued to work as an adult nursing instructor in the Willoughby-Eastlake School System in Ohio. At various times during her career Diane taught all areas of the nursing curriculum. Her impact as a teacher was recognized when, during her fifth year of teaching, she received the Ohio Organization of Practical Nurse Educators’ award for Distinguished Practical Nurse Educator of 1996.
Diane holds a strong belief that the use of technology can help strengthen learning. Diane’s belief is supported by her success as a teacher while using computer technology as a part of her own teaching methods. Perhaps the best measure of Diane’s success is to consider the success of her students, more than a few of whom entered school with weak academic skills and came from difficult backgrounds. During Diane’s teaching career, the percentage of her graduating students who went on to pass the NCLEX each year was between 97% and 100%.
