Recent CHANGES to the website!

The website has a new look. The layout of the front page is different, but most of the content is much the same. There are significant changes to the way you will use the website. Here are some important changes to be aware of when using the new FreeNurseTutor:

Instructor Accounts  To login to your FreeNurseTutor Instructor Account, click on the Login-MySchool link at the top of the page. Your instructor account will now be referred to as your MySchool Instructor Account. Students also should be advised to click on the Login-MySchool link at the top of the page to login to use activities that were saved or created by instructors.

Navigation  The menus and navigation have changed. The main menu that was found along the left side of the page has been removed and replaced with a new menu at the top of the page. The top menu will appear on all pages of the website, so if you get “lost”, you can always use the top menu to get back to where you want to be on the site. If you move the cursor over some of the items in the top menu, sub-items will appear. Click on the menu item you wish to go to. Most website content relevant to instructors will be found under Educators in the top menu.

Links will appear as red text. Many of the headings are also clickable links. (It is a link if the cursor changes from a pointer to a hand when moved over the text.)

Instructors’ Corner  The old Instructor's Corner page is now call the Educators' Corner and its content has been changed and reorganized. When you go to the new Educators' Corner, there is an additional menu at the top of some pages within the Educators' Corner containing menu items to help navigate to other Educators' Corner items.

Topics to Study  The list of Topics to Study, which are available to any user without logging in, have been moved from the center of the page to the left side. The exact same Topics to Study are also available from the top menu.

Other Changes  Some changes are very important, but invisible, such as new or updated versions of supporting software for the website, increased security measures, etc. Other changes were made to better organize the website, as the function and content has changed considerably over the last several years. Some content was added and some was, after much consideration, removed, such as sources of Free CEUs and links to some websites under Educational Links. These have been removed because of the time and difficulty in continuously maintaining operable links to these other websites.
