Either Flashcards or Matching Games can be used to review basic factual material in class.
- Project the Flachcard or Matching Game activity onto a screen in class.
- Have students provide answers as you go through a Flashcard set or play a Matching Game. (If you ask students to provide a “nursing connection” for each fact, you will emphasize that all information should be connected to the nursing process in their minds.)
- To make this more entertaining, you can play Pass the Chalk or divide the class into groups to compete against each other.
- Evaluation can be accomplished by projecting an activity and then having students write answers to a small number of items. (You will need to record the items or answers yourself, because items are displayed randomly.) Or you can create a paper test using the “list of terms” for the activity.
